Operations
With significant retail travel brands including Helloworld Travel – the Travel Professionals, HLO has 2,400 members in Australia and New Zealand across its retail networks including fully branded outlets, Associates, Helloworld Business Travel, Magellan Travel, The Travel Brokers (NZ), Mobile Travel Agents and the My Travel Group.
In 2023 HLO acquired Express Travel Group (ETG), one of the largest independent travel agency networks in Australia and New Zealand. HLO welcomed the ETG retail networks to the business in Australia including Alatus, Independent Travel Group, Select Travel Group and First Travel Group in New Zealand.
Extensive Wholesale operations distribute travel products and services to markets all over the world, led by well-respected brand Viva Holidays, celebrating its 50th year in 2024, and GO Holidays operating in New Zealand.
Inbound and destination-management companies include AOT Inbound, ATS Pacific and Experience Tours Australia (ETA).
Air consolidation services AirTickets and SmartTickets provide advanced technological ticketing solutions to a wide range of travel agents and networks.
HLO services the fast-growing cruise market with leading cruise brands CruiseCo and Creative Cruising providing access to a comprehensive database of ocean and river cruise products including itineraries, cruise lines, ocean and river cruise vessels and ports information, as well as cruise packaging and services.
With extensive operations in Australia and New Zealand Helloworld Travel Limited also has a significant business presence in Fiji with Inbound brand leader ATS Pacific and Fiji’s premier transport operator and ground handler Tourist Transport Fiji (TTF).
History
‘Helloworld’ was launched in 2013 after the consolidation of legacy brands Harvey World Travel, Travelscene, Jetset and Travelworld. A merger with The AOT Group followed in 2016 and the business name was changed to Helloworld Travel in 2017.
